Of course, I’m starting my first food review with a relatively new product from my favorite ice cream shop. Coldstone is an ice cream franchise owned by Eat and Go Limited with various branches across Nigeria, especially in Lagos.
Hot stone is a relatively new product from Coldstone. It is a combination of cake and ice cream with carefully selected toppings to form a whole new exquisiteness. They have four different combos – Apple Pie delirium, Brownie A La Coldstone, Berry Rouge and Triple Chocolate delight.
I had the Berry Rouge treat- warm red velvet cake, strawberry ice cream, strawberry, strawberry puree, white butter cream and pie crust. I just realized that I didn’t get strawberry puree on my own. I don’t like pie crust, so I asked for white chocolate chips. Tell me why this person brought my portion with dark chocolate chips – I hate dark chocolate chips. I had to avoid eating it.
This treat is awesome, the cake melts on your mouth while the ice cream mix with it in your mouth, so you have a taste of strawberry, red velvet cake, white butter cream and strawberry at the same time. My tastebuds had an overload of flavors!!!! Amazing af.
I only had a tiny little problem. I HATE the transparent plastic container it was served in. It made the treat look tacky and out of place. Not nice. Apart from that, it was great.
