Awkward moment when I saw my crush for the first time

So, I met my celebrity crush sometimes this week. It was disastrous!

I was with one of my friends that was invited for a food review for a restaurant that wasn’t open yet, great restaurant by the way. We were having dessert – carrot cake lined with cheese and topped with pawpaw ice cream. The pawpaw ice cream was something I’d never let leave the ice cream machine talkless of being on top of a dessert but it went surprisingly well with the carrot cake.

As I was enjoying this mouthful delight, I saw his friend, Mike come in, in his sky blue kaftan. I was surprised to see a dress down Mike and assumed he was a friend of the owner of the restaurant. I was still looking at him when my friend hit me saying “OMG, did you see Denola?” No, of course not or I’d have screamed. Honestly. I told her it was only Mike that came cos I didn’t see any Denola. She said he was standing by my side, that she thought he was the one I was looking at initially. I started arguing with her and she said we should go upstairs since she saw him go there.

I wasn’t about to let my sweet carrot cake go, so I told her after that. Just when I finished, this man with gorgeous body came walking down the stairs. I froze. I couldn’t look him in the eye. I froze, like T’Challa froze when he saw Nakia. He was in a black wrap shirt and black pants with black dress shoes looking perfect as ever. All these assessments happened in few seconds because I looked away almost immediately. My eyes couldn’t take in all that gorgeousness at once.

We got out to find the cab we had ordered and he said he wasn’t going our way. He cancelled and we waited on the road for another cab. Denola and his friends finished and we’re coming outside. My friend was excited and told me to cross back to meet him. I actually did and pretended I was waiting for a cab or something. This man came to my side and I froze. Again. I didn’t realise he was so small until that moment. About 5’7 ish, I was here expecting some tall 6’ something guy. He’s so small, cute and squeezable *insert all the cute emojis. And yes, he’s as fine as his pictures if not finer. He left with his friends and I didn’t say a word. What made it worse was that he had his resting bitch face on.

I disappointed everyone that asked me to say hi. I’m so sorry.
